Jurubeba (Solanum paniculatum) is indigenous to Brazil as well as Paraguay and Argentina. It is a small tree that grows up to 3 meter high and produces small yellow fruit and lilac or white flowers. The leaves and roots are used in Brazilian medicine these days as a tonic to improve digestion and to relieve stomachache. Jurubeba tea is a very common household remedy throughout Brazil. It helps to tone, balance and strengthen the liver from overeating and too much alcohol.
